(1) The official shall sell and distribute the land in the Jhora area where this Act has commenced, at a rate of up to four bighas at a maximum price of four bighas, to the raiti who have been living in the same area for at least one year and have been earning from cultivation for at least one year.

(2) The designated authority shall sell and distribute the remaining land after sale and distribution in accordance with sub-section (1) to the specified persons at the specified price.
